My name is Daniel Cordova. I am a Senior Reverse Specialist and have been in the Reverse Mortgage Arena for about 25 years. I started one of my first Reverse Mortgages for my mother. She was in a tight situation after my father died and left her with an outstanding mortgage. I tried to help her out as much as I could but I was building a new career and money was very tight for me as well. I was already in the mortgage industry and came across a lender that had Reverse Mortgages in their portfolio. We completed my mother's Reverse Mortgage and it paid off her existing loan balance. She no longer had a mortgage payment and she was able to get a line of credit for around $100,000, which she was able to use to pay all her bills. It was so wonderful to see my mother have her quality of life back.

Through the years I have completed many Reverse Mortgages and I have so many success stories. The one story that I love to share because it became the most significant Reverse Mortgage that I have ever successfully completed. It involved an 88year old woman who was being evicted from her home due to foreclosure. When she initially called me, I was hesitant to take on her case because she had already received a Notice of Default and I did not have a lot of time to complete the loan before the home went up for public auction in a Trust Deed Sale.

Let me tell you I had never been in this kind of stress before. I did not want to be the one responsible for dropping the ball and have an 88-year-old woman put out on the street.

I fought with everything I have including making some threats to various government agencies who were bogged down in red tape.

Well, the great news is that we closed the loan. The amazing thing is that we closed the loan “on the last possible day”, the Sale Day.
